The Inaugural General Meeting
On Monday 11th February at Blackdown Village Hall the Marshwood Community Land Trust held a General Meeting at 7.30pm to elect the Directors for the next few months until the next AGM. Up until now the CLT has been run by willing members of the steering committee who were prepared to become Directors to run the CLT for the first six months.
Fully paid up members of the CLT were invited to attend and it was somewhat disappointing that so few came. However the following were duly elected to serve as Directors.
Charles Somers, Ali Edwards, Rob England, David Hitchcock, Ann–Marie Chapman and Fred Bailey who would also represent the UMV Parish Council.
The appointment of Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman would be made at the first Board meeting by the Directors.
Mr A. Biggs F.C.C.A. A.C.M.A. was appointed as Auditor.
It was reported that a Share Certificate was now available to members and that the £1 annual subscription paid would go through to the financial year end at 31st March 2014. Thereafter subscriptions would become due on the 1st April each year.
Following further meetings with the WDDC Planners progress was being made towards the Affordable homes being built at Thane Farm and possible concerns over highways issues had been overcome. It is hoped that detailed plans will be available in the spring and a Village meeting held to seek approval with a full planning application being submitted shortly afterwards with work commencing on site in September or October 2013. It was reported that the houses had to be completed and handed over by end of March 2015
There being no further matters the meeting closed at 7.55pm and this was followed by tea and coffee.
